Balance is built so that this policy can be short.
Nothing. Balance has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no servers of its own. The app makes no network requests.
Everything you log — doses, pouch products, felt states, settings — is stored in files inside the app's private container on your device, protected by iOS. It syncs nowhere unless you back up your phone (in which case it is included in your own device backup, under your control). Deleting the app deletes the data.
None. No data is shared with, sold to, or processed by anyone, because it never leaves your phone.
Balance can optionally write your caffeine doses to Apple Health as dietary-caffeine samples. This is off by default, enabled only by you in Settings, write-only (Balance reads nothing from Health), and deleting a dose in Balance also deletes its Health sample. Apple Health data stays under iOS's control on your device. If a future version adds optional Health reading (for example, your wake time or sleep), that will likewise be opt-in and this policy will be updated first.
Balance is intended for adults (18+) who already use nicotine. It does not sell or promote nicotine products.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if optional sync is added — the change will be described here with a new effective date before it ships.
